리처드 김 LA시 검사장 후보 지지
Washington, DC January 17, 2022 – 한인 정치력 신장을 위한 후원 단체인 미주한인정치연합(KAPA)이 올해 실시될 LA시 검사장 선거에 출마하는 한인 리처드 김 후보에 대한 공식 지지를 표명했다.
KAPA 측은 지난 10일 이사회에서 리처드 김 후보에 대한 공식 지지를 결정했다고 밝혔다. KAPA의 강석희 부이사장은 리처드 김 후보에 대해 “지난 22년 동안 LA시 검사로서 그의 능력을 인정하며, 한미민주당협회 전 회장으로서 한인사회를 위한 정치력 신장에 많은 기여를 해왔다”며 “리처드 김 후보는 LA와 한인사회를 대표할 자랑스런 후보라고 생각한다”고 밝혔다.
한인 1.5세인 리처드 김 후보는 UCLA와 사우스웨스턴 법대를 나와 LA시 검찰 소속 검사로 활약해왔으며 윌셔센터–코리아타운 주민의회 의장 등을 역임했다.
